O HULLO EVRY1!
... *blink*
Has it really been that long since I last posted? Wow... What the hell have I been doing?!
GLAD YOU ASKED!
Actually, there's been little of any consequence going on. But, in lieu of just posting "SSDD" and gypping you out of almost a month's worth of sweet, sweet blog, I'll give you the highlights reel.
Warhammer 40K: I've been back into this quite a bit, of recent, thanks to Ed, Arica, and the previously mentioned 40K Fight Club. I'm learning the flexibility of my Necrons a bit better, and I'm getting daring enough to try new things. Ed, sadly, still has not beaten me... in fact, Ed, sadly, still has not come CLOSE to beating me. We think getting him some new models will help, so he can exercise some more options other than "put all my infantry in front of you and pull the trigger till I die."
I fought Arica's eldar for the first time... and kinda wiped the walls with her. It was close-ish until the last turn, and I nabbbed a bunch of objectives and 1200 victory points along with them. That sealed the deal.
Last night, we were at the O'Bryan residence for jam night, and we worked on a little terrain. We now have some really bad-ass looking hills and a ruined building to work with. I'll snap some pics next time I'm over there.
Freelance: Apparently, I have two friends in the tech industry tossing jobs my way. I'll keep you posted as I know more.
The Job: .... Don't ask.
Role playing: Okay, this one's kinda interesting. First off, the 7th Sea game is really turning out to be quite fun. Aberrant is at its constant state of awesome as well. Where the interesting part comes in is with the LARP stuff... I know a while back, the idea of my creating my own LARP was up in the air. Well, now that spring is rolling in, and that LARP fever is hitting me a little bit with the rising temperatures, I find I still have no enthusiasm to go to Kanar. However, I WOULD love to get some friends together to brainstorm / playtest rules for my own LARP. Perhaps we'll see where this goes. I wrote up a crafting system. I basically just need a magic system and a comprehensive skill list, and I'm golden. I'd say, mechanics-wise, my larp is half done. And, of course, the story is all in my head, I just need to commit it to a medium that players can look at. I'll keep you posted.
That's... about it, for now. There will be more later. I'm a little hit for time right now.
